Lookout Log

Our watchkeepers record everything they see in the station log. This page shares the incidents we have dealt with, such as walkers cut off by the tide on the causeway, people in difficulty in the water, and calls passed to HM Coastguard.

Entries are kept short and anonymous, and we never publish anything that could identify the people involved. Most days pass quietly, with walkers safely across the causeway thanks to a word of advice at the right moment, and those days are not listed here.

If you see someone in difficulty on the coast, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
