Why Partner With Our Station?

NCI Worms Head volunteers at the National Coastwatch 'Eyes Along the Coast' stand at a community event

NCI Worms Head is an independent, 100% volunteer-led charity declared facility for HM Coastguard. We receive no direct government funding—our daily watchkeeping operations depend entirely on public generosity and local business benefactors.

Rhosili Bay is ranked among the world's top 50 beaches and welcomes more than 750,000 visitors a year from all over the world (Swansea Council). Of these, over 250,000 walkers, watersports enthusiasts, and boaters go on to explore the treacherous Worms Head tidal causeway. Partnering with us showcases your business as an active guardian of community and visitor safety, in front of a genuinely international audience.

This website is also home to something genuinely new for a station like ours: a live Causeway Tracker and a free installable app that show visitors, in real time, when it's safe to cross to the Worm and when to turn back. It's already helping people plan their visit safely — and every visitor who avoids getting cut off is a real reduction in demand on RNLI and Coastguard search and rescue resources. As a company or business supporter, your branding sits directly on the website doing this work, so you're not just supporting a noticeboard — you're genuinely part of a safety initiative that's helping keep people alive.
